Leon Belmont Cosplay

My friend Jared is modelling the costume, the coat of which has been made from white twill and red vinyl. The shiny silver gauntlet he's wearing was made out of styrene coated with silver tagboard, which I then coated with about 12 layers of floor wax. (The other gaunlet was a pleather one and was relatively easy by comparison.) The large intricate silver waist-belt was made from craft foam and styrene, decorated with hotglue scrollwork.

The toughest part of this costume (besides the silver gauntlet) was the hundreds of silver, diamond-shaped studs that I had to stick into the edges of the coat. (It's not easy to push those things through vinyl. I probably lost enough blood while doing so to become a vampire myself...)
