Samurai Artifact Armor

Another one of those insanely complicated sets of FFXI armor. I made most of the armor using craft foam covered with styrene. I made the "lacing" decoration on the plate parts of the armor using hotglue, which I painted gold. The helmet was probably one of the more challenging things to work on- (I made it out of an oversized plastic Easter Egg which I covered with craft foam and styrene.) The sleeves are covered with small scales, which I made from plastic and then sewed onto the cloth. (Parts of this armor had to be sewn to the clothing underneath so that it could be held in place.)

The sword I made by altering a wooden bokken (by lengthening the handle, slapping some craft foam and styrene plates to it and decorating it with hotglue.)
