The only parts of this costume I didn't have to make were the leotard and helmet (although I did have to sew golden armcuffs to the leotard to keep them from falling down.) The chest armor, arm cuffs and boot cuffs were made using craft foam and vinyl. (I used a new embossing method that I had developed to make the design on the center gold "coin" on the chest armor.)

I layered metallic and glossy PVC vinyl fabric over a base of thick craft foam.
